Privacy Policy

Summary

• You can get an estimate without giving us your name, email, or phone number.
• We collect contact details only if you choose to submit a quote request or another form.
• We share a quote request with shops only if you explicitly ask us to.
• Analytics load only after you click “Allow analytics”, and a Global Privacy Control signal counts as a refusal.
• Quote requests and contact messages are kept for 12 months by default, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.

Using the estimator

When you use the estimator, we store:

• your ZIP code,
• your vehicle's year, make, model, and vehicle type,
• the services and options you selected, and
• the resulting estimate, including the pricing model version used and the page you started from.

This is saved with a random estimate reference, such as WP-7K2M-Q9XP. It is not linked to your name or contact information. Anyone who has the reference link can view that estimate summary, so share the link only with people you want to see it.

We use estimate data to show you your result, to let you revisit or share it, and, in aggregate, to improve our pricing model.

Browser storage

• Estimator progress is saved in your browser's session storage so you don't lose your place if you reload the page. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• Your analytics choice (allow or decline) is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page.

This information stays in your browser and is not sent to us.

Quote requests

Requesting quotes is optional. If you submit the quote request form, we collect:

• your name and email address,
• your phone number, if you give one,
• your preferred contact method and project timing,
• any notes you add,
• any photos you upload (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC, up to 5 photos of up to 8 MB each), and
• your ZIP code and the project details from your estimate.

The form asks for two separate consents, and you can give either, both, or neither:

1. permission to share your request with matching shops, and
2. permission to send you marketing email.

For each consent we store your choice, the exact consent text you were shown, the policy version, the time, and the page you submitted from.

To prevent abuse, we store a salted one-way hash of your IP address with the request. We do not store your raw IP address. When bot protection is enabled, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that the request is not automated; Cloudflare processes information from your browser for that check.

Other forms

• Contact form: your name, email, the topic you choose, and your message.
• Shop sign-up form: business name, contact name, email, optional phone and website, ZIP code, services offered, an optional message, and your consent to be contacted.
• Privacy requests: the type of request, your email, and any details you provide, so we can respond and keep a record that we did.

When we share information

With shops, only when you ask

If you consent to sharing, we review your request and may send it to up to three independent shops that match your location and project. Our shop network is not live yet. If no matching shop is available, we will tell you and will not share your request. Shops that receive a request are independent businesses and handle your information under their own privacy practices.

With service providers

Companies that run parts of the site for us process information on our behalf and only as we instruct: hosting, database, file storage, and administrator sign-in (Supabase), email delivery, and bot protection. If you allow analytics, Google processes analytics data as described below.

For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Wrap Pricing.

Business transfers

If Wrap Pricing is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. In the future, shops in our network may pay us a fee for quote requests that customers explicitly ask us to share with them. Some privacy laws may treat that as a “sale”. We will only share a request when you ask us to, and you can withdraw that permission at any time before it is shared.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests and contact messages are kept for 12 months by default. After that, the personal information in them is deleted or permanently anonymized. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
• Consent records are kept with the request they belong to.
• Estimates contain no contact information and may be kept to support reference links and improve our pricing model.

Analytics, advertising, and cookies

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It loads only after you click “Allow analytics”. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and do not load analytics.

• Analytics events never include ZIP codes, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or notes.
• IP anonymization is turned on, and Google signals and ad-personalization signals are turned off.
• To change your choice, clear this site's stored data in your browser settings. That removes the saved choice, and we'll ask again on your next visit.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, some pages may show ads from Google AdSense. Ads are non-personalized unless you have consented. Google may use cookies to deliver and measure ads. Learn more in Google's own policies on how it uses information from sites that use its services.

Experiment cookie

When we are running an A/B test, we may set an anonymous cookie named wp_exp that assigns you to a test group, so the page looks the same each time you visit. It contains a random value, is not linked to your identity, and is not set when no test is running. Tests never change prices.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you,
• ask us to correct it,
• ask us to delete it,
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and
• withdraw consent to marketing email at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

To make a request, use the privacy request page. We may need to confirm your email address before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including:

• encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the whole site,
• access to quote requests limited to authorized administrators, with an audit log of administrative actions,
• private storage for uploaded photos,
• hashing IP addresses instead of storing them, and
• rate limits and bot checks on forms.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

Children

Wrap Pricing is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will update the policy version date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will give notice on the site. Consent records store the policy version that was in effect when you gave consent.
