This policy explains how we produce the estimates and guides on Wrap Pricing, and the rules we follow to keep them independent and accurate.
Independence
Our estimates and guides are produced independently. We are not affiliated with any vehicle maker, film manufacturer, or wrap shop. No one can pay to change an estimate, a pricing factor, a confidence label, or what a guide says about prices.
How estimates are calculated
Every estimate comes from one documented pricing model: a national base range for the service, adjusted for vehicle size, complexity, location, material, and condition, plus additive options. Low and high values are calculated separately at every step. The complete method, including how we assign confidence labels, is on how our pricing works.
Pricing models are versioned, carry an effective date, and every change is recorded in an audit log. Each saved estimate stores the model version that produced it.
How often inputs are reviewed
We aim to review pricing inputs at least quarterly, and sooner when new job data arrives, such as shop quotes, completed-job prices, or corrections from readers. Regional pricing zones record their source and the date they were last reviewed.
A pricing model is marked as sample data until it has been checked against real market prices. We do not present sample data as market pricing. When the active model is a sample, price tables on our guides are hidden or clearly labeled.
Shop relationships
We plan to let customers share quote requests with independent shops when they ask us to, and those shops may pay a fee for requests. That network is not live yet. When it is, shop relationships will have no influence on estimates, and a shop's participation will not change the ranges we show anyone, in its market or elsewhere.
Advertising, sponsorship, and affiliate links
- Ads appear only when advertising is enabled. They are labeled and visually separated from price ranges and guide content, and they don't appear on our policy pages.
- Sponsored placements, if we ever run them, will always carry a visible “Sponsored” label.
- Affiliate links, if we ever use them, will be disclosed next to the link. We don't use affiliate links today.
- Advertisers and sponsors do not review or approve our content.
How guides are written and updated
- Guides explain what drives prices. They don't state fixed prices in the text.
- Price tables in guides are calculated live from the active pricing model at the national average, so they match what the estimator would show.
- We don't invent statistics, survey results, testimonials, or endorsements, and we don't recommend film brands.
- Each guide shows a “Last updated” date. We update it when we make a meaningful change to the content, not for cosmetic edits.
Corrections
If you think an estimate or a guide is wrong, please tell us. Use the contact page and choose the “Correction” topic. Include your ZIP code or market, the vehicle, and the work involved. Quotes or invoices are especially helpful. Please remove personal details you don't want to share.
We review every correction. When a correction changes our pricing model, it goes into a new model version. When it changes a guide, we update the guide and its last-updated date.
